SANGEETA BHARTI

Founding and Managing Partner of the Firm, Sangeeta has more than sixteen years of practice at the Bar having been enrolled in 1993. She heads the Corporate and Commercial practice of the Firm and divides her time between the Firms offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. Sangeeta also travels extensively for work internationally to countries like USA, UK, France, China etc. 

Her area of specialization is Corporate & Commercial advisory services relating to Project Finance, Joint Ventures, Shareholder Agreements, Foreign Direct Investment (primarily in Real Estate, Infrastructure, Power and Education sectors), Banking and Financial Services, Company Law and Industrial Law.  Sangeeta has extensively advised clients which include large multinationals and Public Sector companies in India on the above issues. Apart from Corporate and Commercial advisory, she has a strong backgroun in litigation and has argued many important matters in the Supreme Court of India and High Court of New Delhi apart from other judicial fora's. She has in the past held the position of a nominated Counsel for the High Court of Delhi on behalf of the Delhi Development Authority, the land owning agency to promote and secure the development of Delhi from 1997-2001.

RUCHI GOUR NARULA

Founding and Senior Partner of the Firm, Ruchi has more than fourteen years of practice at the Bar having been enrolled in 1995. Her key area of specialization is Litigation and Arbitration apart from Corporate advisory. Ruchi has advised clients on a number of issues dealing with Mergers & Acquisitions, Securities laws, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Corporate Financing, Anti-Dumping, Energy law and Maritime law. She has represented clients in dispute resolution matters before various courts, regulatory tribunals and authorities and also has extensive experience in representing large corporations in International Commercial Arbitrations before the ICC and ICA.

Ruchi is Counsel to various Public Sector Companies and Government Organizations in India and has also advised large multinational clients. 

ASHISH KUMAR

Ashish joined the Firm in 2008. With a LL.M degree from New York University (NYU) in Corporate Laws, Ashish brings to the Firm a healthy mix of Indian - American legal culture and strong professional ethics. With his strong professional network both domestic and international, he has helped the Firm in establishing Associate Offices in key business centers viz. New York and São Paulo. Ashish has previously been associated with Shearman & Sterling LLP in its New York Offices and the Law Firm of Ravi Batra in New York.

A part of the Corporate and Litigation teams, Ashish divides his time between the Firm's New Delhi and Mumbai offices. He is also a part of the Project Finance group in the Corporate team.

PRAVIN KUMAR

Pravin has more than eight years of rich experience in the Corporate sector. His areas of specialization include Project Finance, legal structuring of Infrastructure Projects, Industrial Parks, Special Economic Zones, Project documentation, Employment and Labor matters, Joint Ventures among others. Pravin has previously been Associated with Dua Associates and Goswami Associates and currently heads the Project Finance team of Juris.

S. BALASUBRAMANIAN

An eminent jurist with a vast experience in Corporate Laws, Mr. Balasubramanian is the Former Chairman of the Company Law Board (CLB) having spent more than 18 years in CLB as a Member and Vice-Chairman including 12 years as Chairman. CLB is a quasi-judicial body, dealing with all corporate matters/ litigations. Mr. Balasubramanian has dealt with over 3000 cases and has has played a key role in the saving/revival of Satyam Computer Ltd.

Prior to his time with the CLB, Mr. Balasubramanian has held the post of Director/Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Programme Implementation and dealt with monitoring the implementation of all public sector projects costing over Rs. 100 crores. He has had special experience as an UNDP/UPU Consultant to the Governments of Malawi (Africa) and brunei Darussalam, to advise these Governments on certain issues.

MR. SUNIL M. BUCKSHEE

A Law Graduate, Cost Accountant and Chartered Accountant by qualification, Sunil has rich experience of more than 25 years in varied industries. He specialized in Direct Taxes including Interational Taxation, expatriate taxationa d benefit planning, M&A, Joint Ventures, Telecasting and Media agreements, Inbound investment strategies among others.  In recognition of his contribution in the field of accountancy Sunil has been conferred membership of "Who's Who Historical Society, Boston, USA".

MR. IQBAL SINGH ISHAR

A member of the New York Bar since 1991, Mr. Ishar is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He specializes in immigration law, civil litigation, contracts and corporate law and holds an LL.M from Delhi University, New Delhi and also from Columbia University, New York.

Mr. Ishar has been a Doctoral Fellow at Columbia Law School and has also served as Executive Director of the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University, School of Law. Apart from being an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Columbia and New York University law schools, he has given expert testimony on Indian law in Bhopal gas leak case and divorce cases. He has also served on teh Board of Asian American Bar Association.

MR. MAHESH SALADI

Mr. Saladi possesses extensive private equity accounting and management experience (20+ years with 10 years as CFO) with hands on expertise in structuring Private Equity/LBO funds, fundraising, Cross-Border alliances, GAAP accounting and Interim CFO Services. Mr. Saladi has developed partnership with leading legal, accounting and investment professional firms in USA, India, Europe and Middle East and provide professional services in Cross Border transactions, JV/Investment opportunities, Business Leads for US/India producers and Investors, India Funds, Investor/JV due diligence, Distribution Channels, Access to Manufacturing and Service facilities. Mr. Saladi was the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director for First Atlantic Capital, Ltd. (New York) before becoming a Senior Advisor for First Atlantic. Mr. Saladi holds a master's degree in Accounting and Banking.
